WILLIAM C. MCCONAGHY of Newtown Square, for-merly of Villanova, PA died August 26, 2019 at the age of 82. A third generation funeral director, he was the owner and operator of the McConaghy Funeral Home in Ardmore, which was established by his grandfather in 1894. Due to his funeral service background, he was assigned to Arlington National Cemetery while being enlisted in the Army in 1958, where he assisted families of veterans with funeral planning and scheduling until being honorably discharged in 1960. He graduated from the Eckels College of Mortuary Science in 1957.
