JAMES NELSON BLOWER of Athens, OH died April 28, 2018 at the age of 77. He began and ended his career as a funeral director in Columbus working for the Rutherford Funeral Home. He had owned and operated the James N. Blower Funeral Home in McArthur and Wellston, Hughes-Blower Funeral Home in Athens, Rawlings-Coats-Blower Funeral Home in Middleport, and the White-Blower Funeral Home in Coolville and Belpre. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, where he served as president in 1987.
