CHARLES ROBERT COX of Amarillo, TX died September 9, 2017 at the age of 54. In 1984, he began working for his mentor, Mack Gordon at Schooler-Gordon Funeral Home in Memphis, TX and maintained working for the funeral home as licensed funeral director until 1990. In 2003, he established Cox Funeral Home in Amarillo, TX and dedicated his Benton Chapel to the memory of his maternal grandparents, H. T. "Hamp" and Ethel Benton. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science.
