BILLY JACK LINDLEY of Chillicothe, MO died October 25, 2017 at the age of 90. A licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1951, he worked for the Runninberger Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO from 1949 to 1951; the Langsford Funeral Home in Lee's Summit, MO from 1951 to 1955; and later the Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO from 1955 to 1959. On June 1, 1959, Earl Kenney sold her funeral business in Chillicothe to Jack and his wife Dorothy. The Lindley's expanded the business, acquiring the Robertson Funeral Homes in Laredo and Chula, MO in 1965 and the Austin Funeral Homes in Hale and Tina, MO in 1968, all of which are operated as Lindley Funeral Homes, Inc. He graduated from the St. Louis College of Mortuary Science.
