Tribute & Message From The Family

JAMES NELSON BLOWER of Athens, OH died April 28, 2018 at the age of 77. He began and ended his career as a funeral director in Columbus working for the Rutherford Funeral Home. He had owned and operated the James N. Blower Funeral Home in McArthur and Wellston, Hughes-Blower Funeral Home in Athens, Rawlings-Coats-Blower Funeral Home in Middleport, and the White-Blower Funeral Home in Coolville and Belpre. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, where he served as president in 1987.

Our deepest sympathies in Jim's passing. He and my Dad were good buddies and enjoyed visiting each other while at the Laurels. It gives us comfort that they are reunited again in Heaven now.

When Jim and I met through OFDA we made an instant connection because he and my father were best friends at CCMS. He always wanted updates on my family and I always knew he truly cared. He was a good man and I will miss his friendship and warmth.
